One of the many reasons, or excuses, for our big trip is to celebrate my 40th birthday. Originally it was going to be a European River Cruise for just Grant and me, but with the curve balls life has thrown us, the trip has grown to a whole family, whole term, “live like locals” adventure. Last Saturday night we had a party with family and friends to celebrate my 40th in Best of British style. We had Pimms and Brit style finger food, attended by a couple of Captain Cooks, Patsy, Mr and Mrs Sherlock Holmes, a term of Tube Stations, footballer and WAG, some punks, Dawn French, Jamie Oliver, and entertained by band “Wing It”. And instead of the traditional birthday cake, we had a tower of cheese.
